Scusset Beach Family Session

So, I recently had the pleasure of capturing an adorable family photo session at Scusset Beach in Bourne, Massachusetts. Jennifer and Mason, along with their little guy Beckett, had just moved to the Cape and were eager to explore this gorgeous stretch of oceanfront. Let me tell you, the vibe at the beach was just perfect for a mini session—soft, golden sunlight spilling all over the place, and the sound of waves gently crashing made everything feel so peaceful.

Beckett was an absolute star during the shoot! This little adventurer was totally into collecting rocks from the sand, which added such a fun and organic touch to the session. Every time we paused for a shot, he’d eagerly dive back to the shoreline, scooping up the coolest pieces he could find. It was so sweet to see the excitement in his eyes, and it made for some charming candid moments. Jennifer and Mason were wonderful, too; they were all smiles, clearly enjoying their new surroundings as they watched Beckett explore.

As we strolled along the beach, we snapped some great family portraits in different spots—some with the ocean as a backdrop and others nestled between the dunes. The connection between Jennifer, Mason, and Beckett was evident in every shot; their love and fun energy really came through. It felt like a magical introduction to their new life in Cape Cod, where sandy days and coastal adventures await.

What’s great about sessions like this is that they truly reflect the joy and spontaneity of family life, especially in such a beautiful spot. Each photo we captured tells a bit of their story, one that they'll cherish as they continue to explore all that this lovely area has to offer. I can’t wait to see where their adventures take them next!
